Konstrukce střech je trvale vystavena účinkům větru, zimy a jiným povětrnostním jevům.  Zateplení šikmé střechy je osvědčeným způsobem jak zabránit únikům tepla během zimních měsíců, v letních měsících zpomalit prostup tepla od slunečního záření dovnitř budovy a také způsob, jak využít podkrovní prostor k bydlení. Použitím minerálně vláknitých materiálů Isover, lze dosáhnout tepelně izolační vrstvy dle stávajících požadavků, akusticky vyhovujícího prostředí i požárně bězpečné konstrukce, která nepřispívá k rozvoji požáru.
