Isover FireProtect^® 150 is a very rigid board made of mineral wool, which is part of the fire protection system Isover FireProtect^®.

Usage

Isover FireProtect^® 150 boards are intended for thermal, acoustic and fireproof insulation of technological equipment with very high operating temperatures. A high degree of precision in production predetermines them for use as a filling material in the production of fire doors (thickness tolerance ±1 mm). They are also used as board material for system fire seals (hilti, Intumex, etc.) in constructions that separate fire sections on construction sites. The plates are also part of the Isover FireProtect^® system for increasing the fire resistance of steel structures according to ČSN EN 13381-4:2013 and trapezoidal sheets according to ČSN EN 1365-2:2015. Thanks to the lower binder content, the boards are suitable for insulating storage stoves. Plates under the trade name Isover Tank Roof Slab 20 kPa meet the requirements for the lower layer of insulation of the roofs of industrial tanks and reservoirs according to the SSG 7591 standard for a compressive strength of 20 kPa.

Although the fibers of the insulation are hydrophobized, it is necessary to protect the board in a suitable way from moisture in the construction (outdoors from weather influences).

The highest operating temperature in the sense of the ČSN EN 14706 standard is 700 °C. For a board with adhesive, the thickness of the insulation must be selected so that the temperature on the adhesive side does not exceed 100 °C. In the part of the insulation that is exposed to temperatures higher than 150 °C, the binder is released once. In areas with a lower temperature, this phenomenon does not occur.

Packaging, transport, storage

Isover FireProtect^® 150 boards are stored as loose boards measuring 1,000 x 1,200 mm on a wooden pallet. 600 x 1,200 mm board size is also available. The material must be transported and stored under conditions that exclude its wetting or other deterioration.
