Insulating boards made of basalt mineral wool, the production of which is based on the method of pulping the melt of a mixture of rocks, recycled material and other ingredients. The created mineral fibers are processed into the final shape of the boards within the production line. These boards are hydrophobized in the entire volume and have mainly longitudinal fiber orientation. The boards must be protected in a suitable way in the structure (e.g. using a separation PE film).
Isover N boards are suitable for improving footfall and air sound insulation of heavy floating floors under a reinforced concrete slab (in larger thicknesses, the boards are used in walls to improve air sound insulation). The improvement of footfall sound insulation in floors is conditioned by the use of Isover N/PP floor tapes. The prescribed flatness of the substrate for laying flooring is 2 mm/2 m. The boards are suitable for living rooms, especially family or apartment buildings, where the useful load is ≤ 2kN/m2.
Packaging, transport, storage
Isover N insulation boards are packed in PE foil up to a maximum package height of 0.5 m. The boards must be transported in covered means of transport under conditions that exclude their wetting or other deterioration. They are stored in covered areas lying down to a maximum layer height of 2 m.
