Thermal insulation properties
<b>Lambda λ<sub>D</sub> = 0.035 W·m<sup>-1</sup>·K<sup>-1</sup></b><br>Reinforced hydroaccumulation plates that are used in applications with a higher density of vegetation. Above all, for intensively vegetated roofs, where it is advantageous to layer these boards with mineral roofing substrates. They also apply to places with more frequent traffic. Thanks to better hydroaccumulation, they are more suitable for sloping green roofs.

Product characteristics

Hydrophilic stone wool is produced similarly to ordinary mineral insulation, i.e. by fiberizing a molten mixture consisting of volcanic rocks and recycled material. The created mineral fibers are processed into the final shape of the boards within the production line. Unlike hydrophobized insulation, no hydrophobizing oils are added to this type of mineral wool, so the material holds water very well and thus creates an environment for plant growth.

Usage

Isover Intense are reinforced hydroaccumulation boards that are used as the bottom hydroaccumulation layer of intensive roof systems. They can also be used as a reinforcing layer above the Isover Flora boards in places where the roof is in more frequent use. Thanks to the increased power of hydroaccumulation, these boards can also be applied to sloping green roofs.

Packaging, transport, storage

Isover intense boards are packed in PE foil. Boards must be transported in covered means of transport under conditions excluding their excessive wetting or other deterioration. They are stored in covered dry areas lying down to a maximum layer height of 2 m.
