Product characteristics

Plinth insulation boards Isover EPS Sokl 3000 are a special type of EPS boards foamed into molds for demanding thermal insulation of structures in direct contact with moisture. This technology and the use of special raw materials provide the boards with some extraordinary properties. The boards are particularly characterized by minimal absorbency, high compressive strength and frost resistance. They are produced in strength class EPS 150 and can be used for highly loaded structures. They are equipped with a double-sided waffle structure for excellent adhesion of adhesives and sealants. Like XPS extruded polystyrene boards, Isover EPS Sokl boards do not need to be waterproofed. Modern technology ensures constant quality and minimum energy consumption of production, which ensures an excellent price/performance ratio for the boards. All Isover EPS boards are produced in a self-extinguishing design with increased fire safety.

Usage

Isover EPS Sokl 3000 insulation boards are intended for the plinths of both insulated walls within the ETICS insulation system and non-insulated masonry structures. At the same time, Isover EPS Sokl 3000 boards are used for plinths above balconies, terraces, etc. Here we will appreciate their high resistance to penetration and moisture. Three main functions: removal of the usual thermal bridge in the area of the transition of the wall to the concrete foundation, creation of a reliable detail of the termination of the waterproofing above the ground, enabling the execution of a continuous plaster layer down to the ground level. For gluing, cement sealants according to the specific ETICS insulation system are most often used, for gluing waterproofing, PUR adhesive foams or solvent-free asphalt-based adhesives are used. As a rule, a reinforcing layer is applied to the baseboards, followed by a noble thin-layer plaster, or lining.

Packaging, transport, storage

Insulating boards Isover EPS 3000 are packed in PE foil in packages with a maximum height of 500 mm. Plates must be transported and stored under conditions that exclude their deterioration. Do not store in direct sunlight for a long time.
