They are designed, above all, for the professional thermal insulation of floors and similar applications which require high pressure resistance, most often for power-saving houses (low-energy and passive buildings). Their advantage is that they may be used anywhere where there is a lack of space for traditional insulation, e.g. for the reconstruction of floors, thermal insulation of loggias above heated premises, and for other applications requiring the maximum insulation effect to be installed in a limited space. They are designed for a maximum permanent pressure load of 2000 kg/m2 with a deformation of < 2%.
