Mineral facade plugs are used in flush mounting of dowels in order to break the thermal and acoustic bridge from the metal mandrel of the dowel, which is usually used when insulating the facade with mineral insulation boards. The advantages of recessed installation of dowels with facade plug overlay is the elimination of thermal bridges and the risk of drawing the dowel on the facade.

Product characteristics

Mineral facade plugs are made by carving from mineral fiber facade boards. They have a circular shape and a longitudinal fiber orientation.

Usage

Mineral facade plugs are used in the flush mounting of dowels to break the thermal and acoustic bridge from the metal spike of the dowel, which is usually used when insulating the facade with mineral insulation boards.

Packaging, Transport, Storage

Mineral facade plugs are packed in cardboard boxes. The material must be transported and stored under conditions that exclude its wetting or other deterioration.
