Thermal insulation of the floor on the ground with polystyrene

Thermal insulation of the floor on the ground (or above a cellar) is another typical application for EPS with high pressure resistance. Depending on the power demands of the building, insulation materials with a thickness from 120 mm (for standard houses) up to 250 mm (low-energy and passive houses) are used. Depending on the load, thickness and deformation required, materials such as Isover EPS 100S, 150S and 200S, or new graphite materials with an increased insulation effect, e.g. EPS NeoFloor 100 and EPS NeoFloor 150, are used. The new graphite materials are also successfully used in reconstructions of buildings as a greater insulating effect practically always has to be installed in the current premises.
