Insulation of pipes
Heat power and hot water distribution pipes with small diameters may be insulated using insulation casings covered with glued aluminium foil. The casing with a glued cover layer is fitted with foil overlapping the longitudinal joint with self-adhesive tape so that the casing is perfectly closed. Pipe distribution systems with large diameters are most frequently insulated using stratified mats – ORSTECH LSP H (made of rock wool) or ML 3 (made of glass wool), or mats on a wire mesh – e.g. ORSTECH DP – may be used (especially for high temperatures).
