Acoustic insulation of inner floors with polystyrene
The increasing demands for acoustic comfort in the interior require highly efficient constructions – floating floors – to be used. The so-called elastified polystyrene has been especially developed to mitigate the effects of steps. Isover EPS Rigifloor 4000 is elastified polystyrene designed for heavy floating floors with a maximum standard useful load of 4 kN/m2 (400 kg/m2). Its applications include lecture halls, school classrooms, libraries, department houses, offices, flats, etc. Isover EPS RigiFloor 5000 is designed for heavy floating floors with a maximum standard useful load of 5 kN/m2 (500 kg/m2). Its applications include grandstands, including the related corridors, archives, theatre stages, etc.
