Please allow us to introduce our company, Division Isover, Saint-Gobain Construction Products CZ a.s. (formerly Orsil), a manufacturer of thermal, acoustic and fire insulation, based in Častolovice in East Bohemia. Isover is a leading producer of insulation materials, number one in Czech market. On January 1, 1996, it became a part of French corporation SAINT-GOBAIN, ISOVER division, with its excellent development background. On January 1, 2010, Isover took over the production of expanded polystyrene from Rigips and thus became the company with the largest range of top quality thermal, acoustic and fire insulation on the Czech market. We are proud to produce materials of premium quality made of environmentally friendly raw materials. Apart from traditional products used for the insulation of floors, partitions, walls, facades, ceilings, soffits, flat and pitched roofs and distribution pipelines, our product range also includes other materials - extruded polystyrene and mineral suspended ceilings and new top-qualityinsulation products from expanded polystyrene EPS (former Rigips brand).
Mineral fibre insulating materials have been made in Častolovice for more than 40 years. Other production plants are located in Český Brod and Lipník nad Bečvou. Foam polystyrene has been produced in Český Brod since 1996. Since that time the plant has been equipped with new technology to extend its product range and increase production capacity. The plant in Český Brod produces special pink insulation boards - Sokl and Perimetr. It is one of the most modern facilities in the Czech Republic producing foam polystyrene. The plant in Lipník nad Bečvou is the newest plant, put into operation in 2009. The plant produces expandable polystyrene boards at a production capacity of 20,000m3 a month. The new plant has created many new jobs in Lipník, in a region with high unemployment.
